GLOCKĀ® Celebrates National Safety Month with over 47,000 Pledges Made
Smyrna, GA – July 1, 2025 – GLOCK proudly announces the successful conclusion of June Safety Month. For over 10 years, GLOCK has recognized their commitment to safety, highlighting GLOCK’s unwavering commitment to responsible firearm ownership and safety education through this national campaign. Throughout June, GLOCK worked alongside law enforcement, gun owners, and community partners to educate others on essential safety practices, including safe storage, proper firearm use, and adherence to the four fundamental rules of firearm safety.
This year’s campaign emphasized the Four Rules of Firearm Safety, Safe Storage and Proper Use. Gun owners were encouraged to practice safe firearm storage using options such as cable locks, lock boxes, and biometric safes, all of which are designed to prevent unauthorized access. To make sure every GLOCK owner is equipped to store their firearms securely, all GLOCK pistols are shipped with a cable lock.
In addition to emphasizing gun safety practices, GLOCK also spotlighted the importance of Proper and Lawful Use. GLOCK reminds gun owners of the need to stay informed about local and federal laws, practice responsible firearm usage, and avoid illegal modifications, such as the attempt to convert any firearm from semiautomatic to fully automatic through the use of any device which is illegal and strictly prohibited under state and federal laws.
A key partner in firearm safety education is the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), who led Safe Storage Week to promote the importance of securing firearms to prevent unauthorized access. The GLOCK Sport Shooting Foundation® (GSSF) highlighted firearm safety messaging throughout the month, which is the top priority at any GSSF match. Meanwhile, Team GLOCK ambassadors spread the word about firearm safety by engaging on social media and at GLOCKIQ.com, encouraging followers to embrace safe practices and take the GLOCK Safety Pledge.
"We are thrilled with the engagement this National Safety Month and the strong response from our community," said Carlos Guevara, CEO at GLOCK, Inc. "While the campaign focused on National Safety Month, we know that firearm safety is a year-round commitment. We encourage everyone to continue practicing safe storage, following the rules of firearm safety, and remaining informed about proper use and local laws. GLOCK’s resources remain available at glocksafety.com for all gun owners to access at any time."
Over 47,000 people have taken the GLOCK Safety Pledge, committing to uphold these essential safety practices. GLOCK invites everyone to continue their commitment to firearm safety beyond National Safety Month. The GLOCK Safety Pledge and educational materials remain available year-round at glocksafety.com, where users can find educational and shareable materials to continue to spread the word.
